Management in Healthcare Organizations
Tuesday, June 11, 2013
Registration & Breakfast: 8:45 a.m.
Presentation: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.*
*Includes one hour break for lunch, provided by MCHC

Two issues can create real problems for managers in healthcare organizations: 1) poor budget management, and 2) low patient satisfaction scores. Despite managers’ need to understand both of these critical concepts, often, little practical education is provided to help them succeed.

MCHC is proud to host Rosemary Homer of Halligan-Lynch Healthcare Consulting as she leads this full-day program to benefit managers at all levels of healthcare organizations. She will provide useful knowledge and practical ideas for developing one’s business acumen, as well as key strategies for driving high levels of customer service in the uniquely challenging healthcare environment.

These concepts will be presented in a very interactive format with discussion and application throughout, so participants leave with practical ideas to implement in their organizations!

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe how the economic climate and globalization affect healthcare      organizations
  • Discuss financial terms and concepts used in the healthcare setting which are      key to managing a budget and improving a department’s financial performance
  • Use of available financial information to more efficiently manage individual      departments
  • Manager’s role in customer service
Implementing organizational change in an individual department

Location:
MCHC Conference Center
222 S. Riverside Plaza (Canal and Adams), 19th Floor
Chicago, Illinois 60606
