One of the key goals of the Chicago Health Executives Forum (CHEF), the metropolitan Chicago local chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), is to provide educational and mentoring opportunities for healthcare executives, particularly those interested in pursuing Fellow status in ACHE.  To date, there are 1560 ACHE members in the CHEF chapter, with 460 of those members identified as eligible to advance.  We are calling upon our existing 307 FACHEs in our chapter to share their expertise.

Kicking off the week of Superbowl XLV, CHEF will offer a 10-week mentoring group session for ACHE members who are working on their career development, pursuing their FACHE status, and desire a group educational environment.  Each participant will be assigned a FACHE as a mentor.  The mentoring sessions will be 90 minutes in length, with 60 minutes of content review and 30 minutes of discussions.  The sessions will be orchestrated through local experienced healthcare leaders.  A FACHE will be present for each session to answer ACHE or CHEF related questions.  CHEF will apply for Category II credits dependent upon the speaker information booking.

The 10-week mentoring session will cost $100.  Register via www.chefchicago.org.

Details regarding Registration:

Should a person attend all 10 sessions, their $100 will be returned to them.

One excused absence will be allowed per registrant for the 10 sessions.

Remaining monies will be used to fund one participant’s ACHE BOG examination fee.

Participants who attend at least 5 sessions will be entered into a drawing for a free CHEF event registration.
